“ME” Time
Filed under Coaching BlogNov 10In a day when everything seems to be rush, rush, rush, we often forget about ourselves. We are so busy taking care of everything at work and at home, and taking care of everyone’s needs but our own.
Now I ask you, what happens to everyone else that you take care of, if you don’t take care of yourself also?
When we don’t take care of ourselves we open the door to illness. It starts with little symptoms of stress, then exhaustion, and then before you know it, catastrophe takes over. Then you are the one being cared for because you can not do it for yourself. So before you get to that point, do something about it.
Take some “ME” time for yourself. Do something nice just for yourself. Become a little selfish with your time. It doesn’t have to be a lot, just a little bit of time during the day where you are the focus of you. Whether it’s something small like sitting with a cup of tea, reading a snippet in a magazine or something large like major retail therapy, that’s for you to decide. But make sure you spend a little time for yourself each day to unwind and destress. Where you allow yourself to relax, if only for a bit.
Remember, YOU are the most important person you have to take care of, or sooner or later, you won’t be able to take care of others.
